As the next to last chapter and blog insight unfolds before our eyes, I find myself a little sad that this part of our journey together is nearing its end. At the same time, I look forward to hopefully hearing about how God has given glimpses of how to use some of the book's information to help you on your own personal journey. YOU are the reason for the writing of the book and the blog postings.
But before you go, let's take a couple of minutes and shed a little light on the meat of the topic in Chapter 15, shall we?
A stronghold, as defined by google.com, is simply a place that has been fortified to protect it against attacks. Hmm. So you may be thinking, "Hey lady, why would the supposedly all-powerful enemy/devil need strongholds to take over issues in my life? I mean, if he's so powerful, isn't a stronghold overkill? We are mere mortals, aren't we easy pickings for him?" Ok, maybe that's not the exact question you have at the moment. It does pose an interesting thought, though, doesn't it? In fact, its very answer is implied between the lines of the question itself.
For our enemy, a "stronghold" isn't overkill. It's necessary. A requirement for him to gain open access in our lives. He is not all powerful. He actually needs protection from us, once we know who we are in Christ Jesus. He, along with his minions, need a human body to work through. Granted, since he is the "prince of the air," (Ephesians 2:2), he has been known to manipulate weather and nature from time to time. He does have certain limited rights on this earth, for a while. But they ARE limited. For all intents and purposes, we are focusing on the fact that to rule in our lives, he needs a way in to manipulate the human body. That's where those previously mentioned open doors come in to play.
The fact that the enemy needs strongholds, proves that he needs help to torment his human target. Fortified, extra help. Which also means that we can render him powerless with the proper tools. Remember, we are told in Romans 16:20 that the devil will be crushed under our feet. God will crush him "under our feet." Then, who truly has the power over the enemy? Obviously God has all power, but we have the power to crush him under our feet because of Christ Jesus who dwells in us! How exciting is that?!
We stand on the promises that God has given us in the Bible and believe every word is true. We believe that all of His promises are relevant and ours today. Every question we have can be answered in His Word, when we turn to Him. He has even given us the keys to trample the enemy underfoot, breaking all strongholds, generational curses, and claims the devil thinks he has on our lives.
The 15th Chapter of "Supernaturally Dysfunctional" outlines the tools you need, the prayers to say, and the scriptures needed to claim your independence from the devil, step-by-step. It's my gift to you. You deserve to know who you are in Christ. You are MORE than a conqueror. You don't have to live in defeat or fear, ever again. YOU have the power to break any bloodline curse or claim the enemy has staked over you or your family. The victory is already yours.
